We offer:

  • Meranti (Shorea sp.: 400 - 750 kg/m³)
  • Sipo (Entandrophragma utile Sprague: 610 kg/m³)
  • Sapele (Entandrophragma cylindricum Sprague: 680 kg/m³)
  • Oak (Quercus sp.: 650 - 700 kg/m³)
  • Teak (Teutona grandis: 650 - 750 kg/m³)
  • others.

To manufacture the highest quality wooden windows we source the material from the certified suppliers only. Also, we use our own made pine scantling.

STEP 1 Sourcing Pine logs

Every single log is carefully inspected and chosen by our specialists.

Only the thickest and the best logs are purchased to achieve the highest quality of the finished products.

STEP 2 Laminated timber manufacturing

After careful selection the raw timber is sawn and dried artificially using a dry kiln. According to the DIN 68121 norm the timber is dried at 13% ± 2% humidity.

All our timber is always free of knots, rasin pockets, insect holes and all other defects. Therefore, the imperfect parts are marked, cut out and disposed.

Every profile Drewexim manufactures is approved by the German Institute for Window Techniques in Rosenheim.

The glue used for manufacturing the profiles must offer the highest quality, strength and durability. Therefore, only water resistant D4 class glue is used for that purpose. The profiles are glued with several layers to counteract any wood stress which enables perfect wood movement control especially while absorbing and generating air humidity.

Careful selection of the wood grains of every board prevents from construction distortion or cracking and ensures long lasting durability.

STEP 3 Machining and gluing

The laminated timber of the right section is being machined first to form the profile for a window or door. Then the elements are jointed and glued with the use of bridle joint forming the corners to provide strength and durability of the joints.

STEP 4 Treatment

  • Sanding - automatic with the use of sanding machine and manual.
  • Impregnation - sprayed automatically by flowcoater.
  • Sanding - manual.
  • Base coat - sprayed twice automatically by flowcoater.
  • Sanding - manual.
  • Top coat - sprayed manually once or twice. Total thickness 250-300 microns.

STEP 5 Hardware

Depending on the type of window or door the right hardware including multi-point locking espagnolettes, restrictors, handles and hinges are fitted.

STEP 6 Glazing

Single, double or triple glazing is fitted and sealed with either dry gasket or silicone depending on the type of window or door.

STEP 7 Quality inspection

Every single unit is carefully inspected both during manufacturing and right before packing. The final inspection is covers all the details incl. performance of the hardware, alignment, glass check, etc. Only after the unit is approved it is packed.

STEP 8 Packing

During many years of experience especially in exporting the products Drewexim has developed a fast and strong method of packing. Every few units of a similar size are packed together forming a kind of a pallet which can be lifted with a fork lift truck. After all the pallets are loaded onto the vehicle all of them are fitted together and secured to prevent from movement during transportation. This way our products always arrive safely at your door.
